The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Witness’, directed by Ali Asgari, will be screened at the 45th edition of ATLFF.
“A mother helps an elderly woman in a shopping mall in Tehran. A tragedy occurs, brutally confronting her with the impact of her actions,” a synopsis for the 15-minute film reads.
Earlier reports said Iranian feature film ‘African Violet’ and the short films ‘Crab’, ‘Spotted Yellow’, ‘The Doll’, and ‘Eyes and Hands’ will also participate at the Atlanta Film Festival.
ATLFF is one of the largest and longest-running festivals in the US.
"It showcases the work of both emerging and established artists and is one of less than twenty US film festivals that is Academy Award-qualifying in all three categories: Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and Animated Short", an online submission platform reads.
The 45th edition of Atlanta Film Festival will take place from April 22 to May 2.
